Immunohinstochemical staining with rabbit anti-ABHD6 antibody IGX-45210 at 1:400 in paraffin-embedded human heart tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

| Description | Lipase that preferentially hydrolysis medium-chain saturated monoacylglycerols including 2-arachidonoylglycerol (PMID:22969151). Through 2-arachidonoylglycerol degradation may regulate endocannabinoid signaling pathways . Also has a lysophosphatidyl lipase activity with a preference for lysophosphatidylglycerol among other lysophospholipids . Also able to degrade bis(monoacylglycero)phosphate (BMP) and constitutes the major enzyme for BMP catabolism (PMID:26491015). BMP, also known as lysobisphosphatidic acid, is enriched in late endosomes and lysosomes and plays a key role in the formation of intraluminal vesicles and in lipid sorting (PMID:26491015). |
