Immunohistochemical staining with rabbit anti-IVNS1ABP antibody IGX-44768 at 1:100 in paraffin-embedded human kidney tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

Plays a role in the dynamic organization of the actin skeleton as a stabilizer of actin filaments by association with F-actin through Kelch repeats . Protects cells from cell death induced by actin destabilization . Functions as modifier of the AHR/Aryl hydrocarbon receptor pathway increasing the concentration of AHR available to activate transcription (PMID:16582008). In addition, functions as a negative regulator of BCR(KLHL20) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex to prevent ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis of PML and DAPK1, two tumor suppressors (PMID:25619834). Inhibits pre-mRNA splicing (in vitro) (PMID:9696811). (Microbial infection) Involved in the alternative splicing of influenza A virus M1 mRNA through interaction with HNRNPK, thereby facilitating the generation of viral M2 protein. |
