| Description | Buserelin (Receptal) belongs to the group of gonadotrophin releasing hormone (gonadorelin) analogues (LHRH agonist). It acts on the pituitary gland which controls the amount of many different types of hormones (chemical messengers). Buserelin alters the amount of hormones, particularly the oestrogens androgens, this alteration of hormone levels can be exploited to treat cancers of the prostate gland, which are stimulated to grow by testosterone. Sequence: Glu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-D-Ser(tBu)-Leu-Arg-Pro-NHEt Molecular Weight: 1239.44 Appearance: Supplied as a lyophilized powder. No additives. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA to 0.1mg/ml. Purity: ≥98% by RP-HPLC or SDS-PAGE. Chromatographically purified. Concentration: ~0.1mg/ml (after reconstitution) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA.. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C.
