Product Overview
| Description | CD141, otherwise known as Thrombomodulin, is a transmembrane glycoprotein specifically synthesized by endothelial cells, which plays a critical role in the activation/conversion of protein C into protein Ca, through the formation of a complex with the coagulation factor Thrombin. The subsequent cleavage and deactivation of the coagulation factors Va and factor VIIIa by protein Ca, acts to reduce Thrombin production and hence prevent further coagulation. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human CD141 expressed in HEK293 cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
