Product Overview
| Description | CD146 belongs to the immunoglobulin supergene family with five immunoglobulin like domains (V-V-C2-C2-C2), a transmembrane region and a 63 residue cytoplasmic tail. The protein is a membrane glycoprotein that functions as a Ca2+ independent cell adhesion molecule involved in heterophilic cell to cell interactions. CD146 has a molecular size of 130kD in its reduced form (118kD unreduced), and N linked glycosylation accounts for fifty percent of the apparent molecular weight. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa433-647 from human CD146, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~47kD (SDS-PAGE) Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Inhibition Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
