Product Overview
| Description | CD31, otherwise known as PECAM-1, is a member of the Ig-related superfamily of adhesion molecules, expressed by endothelial cells, platelets, granulocytes and some lymphocytes, and plays a key role as a mediator of leucocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and leucocyte transendothelial migration (TEM), during inflammatory responses. CD31 has been linked with various inflammatory disorders including atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and multiple sclerosis (MS). Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human CD31 expressed in HEK293 cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
