Product Overview
| Description | CHK1 is a 56kD serine/threonine protein kinase that was originally identified in fission yeast to play a role in activation of the DNA damage checkpoint in the G2 phase of the cell cycle. CHK1 appears to function downstream of several of the known fission yeast checkpoint gene products, including that encoded by rad3+, a gene with sequence similarity to the ATM gene mutated in patients with ataxia telangiectasia. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human CHK1, fused to His-Tag at N-terminal expressed in Insect cells. Molecular Weight: ~59kD Specific Activity: 144nmol/min/mg as per activity assay protocol. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug (LAL) Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
