Product Overview
| Description | CKM, also known as CK-MM and Creatine kinase (CK) which is an enzyme expressed by various tissues and cell types. CK catalyses the conversion of creatine and consumes adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to create phosphocreatine and adenosine diphosphate (ADP). This CK enzyme reaction is reversible, such that also ATP can be generated from PCr and ADP. Recombinant CKMM is expressed in E.coli strain and purified by column chromatography. Recombinant protein corresponding to human Creatine Kinase MM, expressed in Transformed E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~18-20kD Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
