Product Overview
| Description | Human Factor XII is a single chain glycoprotein with a molecular weight of ~80,000. Once activated, principally from the action of kallikrein, Factor XII is converted into an active serine protease (Factor alpha-Xlla) that functions in the in vivo initiation of blood coagulation, fibrinolysis, and kinin formation. Human Factor XII has been purified by ion exchange chromatography. Source: Factor XII, from Human Plasma Molecular Weight: ~80kD Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
