Product Overview
| Description | Ferredoxin1 is a small iron-sulfur protein that transfers electrons from NADPH through ferredoxin reductase to a terminal cytochrome P450. This particular oxidation/reduction system is found in steroidogenic tissues, and is involved with the synthesis of bile acid and vitamin D. It participates in the synthesis of thyroid hormones and transfers electrons from adrenodoxin reductase to the cholesterol side chain cleavage cytochrome P450. Recombinant human Ferredoxin 1 protein, fused to T7-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. Source: Recombinant corresponding to human Ferredoxin 1, aa61-184 , T7-tagged, expressed in E. coli. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. |
