| Description | Activity: ~5U/mg @ 37°C. One unit will catalyze the transamination of one micromole of L-alanine to alpha-ketoglutarate, forming L- glutamate and pyruvate per minute at 37°C, pH 7.8. Measured at 340nm as one equimolar amount of NAD produced by a coupled reaction. Contaminants: GOT 2.6% ALP <0.018% GGT <0.035% Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. |
