Product Overview
| Description | Recombinant human L-selectin comprises a 294 amino acid fragment (39-332) corresponding to the mature L-Selectin extracellular domain and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. L-Selectin belongs to a family of divalent cation- dependent carbohydrate-binding glycoproteins or adhesion molecules. L-Selectin is expressed constitutively on lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes and interacts specifically with carbohydrate groups on activated endothelial cells. L-Selectin may be shed by proteolytic cleavage and circulating levels in biological fluids may be used as an indicator of various pathological conditions. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
