Product Overview
| Description | LDHB, also known as L-lactate dehydrogenase B chain isoform LDHB, is a member of the lactate dehydrogenase family. It is an oxidoreductase which catalyses the interconversion of pyruvate and lactate with concomitant interconversion of NADH and NAD+. As this protein can also catalyze the oxidation of hydroxybutyrate. The LDH family consists of three members, LDH-A, LDH-B and LDH-C. LDHs function as powerful markers for germ cell tumors. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-334 from human LDHB expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~36.6kD (334aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF AA Sequence: MATLKEKLIA PVAEEEATVP NNKITVVGVG QVGMACAISI LGKSLADELA LVDVLEDKLK GEMMDLQHGS LFLQTPKIVA DKDYSVTANS KIVVVTAGVR QQEGESRLNL VQRNVNVFKF IIPQIVKYSP DCIIIVVSNP VDILTYVTWK LSGLPKHRVI GSGCNLDSAR FRYLMAEKLG IHPSSCHGWI LGEHGDSSVA VWSGVNVAGV SLQELNPEMG TDNDSENWKE VHKMVVESAY EVIKLKGYTN WAIGLSVADL IESMLKNLSR IHPVSTMVKG MYGIENEVFL SLPCILNARG LTSVINQKLK DDEVAQLKKS ADTLWDIQKD LKDL Endotoxin: ~1EU/1ug (LAL) Specific Activity: >300units/mg, in which one unit will convert 1umole of pyruvate to L-lactate and beta-NAD/minute at pH 7.5 at 37°C. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
