Product Overview
| Description | MDH2 is one of the two malate dehydrogenases. Malate dehydrogenase catalyzes the reversible oxidation of malate to oxaloacetate, utilizing the NAD/NADH cofactor system in the citric acid cycle. In particular, MDH2 is localized to the mitochondria and may play pivotal roles in the malate-aspartate shuttle that operates in the metabolic coordination between cytosol and mitochondria. It is widely expressed with high expression levels found in adrenal, small intestine, heart and pancreas. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa25-338 of human recombinant MDH2 fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
