Product Overview
| Description | MVD, also known as diphosphomevalonate decarboxylase, catalyzes the conversion of mevalonate pyrophosphate into isopentenyl pyrophosphate in one of the early steps in cholesterol biosynthesis. It decarboxylates and dehydrates its substrate while hydrolyzing ATP. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-400 from human MVD, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~45.6kD (420aa) AA Sequence: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MASEKPLAAV TCTAPVNIAV IKYWGKRDEE LVLPINSSLS EEDVGQPRLQ ACLREIRCLA RKRRNSRDGD PLPSSLSCKV HVASVNNFPT AAGLASSAAG RSLYGGFVEW QMGEQADGKD SIARQVAPES HWPELRVLIL VVSAEKKLTG STVGMRASVE SFAQLTMKDS NQFHATCLDT FPPISYLNAI SWRIIHLVHR FNAHHGDTKV AYTFDAGPNA KGLQVRPAPL SAELQAALAM EPTPGGVKYI IVTQVGPGPQ ILDDPCAHLL GPDGLPKPAA VTLHQDQLKT TTTAVISKDF TEDRIWLNGR YACLAYTLAR VYGVESDLSE VARRGSGSAC TSPLLRFRAE SVVPARMAEM ARCIRERDFP VIFTLDDTVA EFVAAVWHGF PPGSNGDTFL Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
