Product Overview
| Description | Paraoxonase 2 (PON2) is a member of a multigene family whose genes share 65% identity at the amino acid level, and is expressed in a variety of tissues, including the pancreas. PON2 overexpression has been shown to lower the intracellular oxidative state and reduce the cells ability to oxidize LDL. PON2 is therefore implicated in the modulation of oxidative stress. Recombinant protein corresponding to human PON2 with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag, expressed in E. coli Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
