Product Overview
| Description | Human Phosphoserine phosphatase (hPSP) is an important enzyme in the phosphorylated pathway of serine biosynthesis, which contributes a major portion of the endogenous L-serine. Similar to known L-3-phosphoserine phosphatases, it catalyzed the Mg2+-dependent hydrolysis of L-phosphoserine and an exchange reaction between L-serine and L-phosphoserine. Recently, its complex structures reveal that the open-closed environmental change of the active site, generated by local rearrangement of the a-helical bundle domain, is important to substrate recognition and hydrolysis. Recombinant human hPSP was overexpressed in E. coli. It consists of 225 amino acids. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
