Product Overview
| Description | This protein belongs to the family of highly homologous synovial sarcoma X (SSX) breakpoint proteins. These proteins may function as transcriptional repressors. They are also capable of eliciting spontaneously humoral and cellular immune responses in cancer patients, and are potentially useful targets in cancer vaccine-based immunotherapy. SSX1, SSX2 and SSX4 genes have been involved in the t(X;18) translocation characteristically found in all synovial sarcomas. This translocation results in the fusion of the synovial sarcoma translocation gene on chromosome 18 to one of the SSX genes on chromosome X. The encoded hybrid proteins are probably responsible for transforming activity. Species: Homo sapiens Source: E. coli Primary Sequence (aa): 188 Domain (aa): Full-length Tag/Fusion Partner: T7 Tag Applications: Suitable for use in Mass Spectometry, ELISA and Western Blot as an antigen assay standard. Other applications not tested. Quality Control: SDS-PAGE Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. Important note: This recombinant enzyme has NOT been tested with regard to biological activity. |
