Product Overview
| Description | Protirelin stimulates the secretion of pituitary thyroid stimulating hormone from the anterior pituitary and has been shown that protirelin increases secretion of prolactin. Protirelin is identified as 5-oxo-L-prolyl-L-histidyl-L-proline amide. It is a synthetic tripeptide that is believed to be structurally identical to the naturally-occurring thyrotropin-releasing hormone produced by the hypothalamus. Human TRH has a MW of 362.39D. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
