Product Overview
| Description | Urate oxidase also called uricase urate oxygen, oxidoreductase, catalyzes the enzymatic oxidation of uric acid into allantoin, an inactive and soluble metabolite. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to Urate Oxidase, a tetrameric, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 301aa, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~34.25kD Specific Activity: ~18U/mg Unit Definition: One Unit oxidizes one micromole of uric acid/minute at 30°C, at pH 8.9. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
